    As a Software Engineer II, you are a member of PNC's Real Estate Finance Technology organization of more than 100 technology professionals.  You will be based in Little Rock, AR in the Westlake Corporate Center – Searcy Building where you will work.  Your responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing projects by analyzing, designing, coding and testing computer programs to meet business and performance requirements.    Also, the position will be responsible for proposing and implementing enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems and applications this group is responsible for developing and supporting.  You will report to the Midland MIS Application Systems Manager.

     

    Your hours will follow a standard workweek. Within the day, there will be a variety of job activities required including working with various teams across the organization, with a pace set by project requirements and meeting defined milestones.  In your role, you will draw upon your background and skill-sets in directing best practices, and ensuring defined patterns and standards are being followed.  You will work closely with teams across the organization in order to meet defined project goals and objectives.  The environment will be collaborative in nature, and provide the opportunity to extend your skill-sets in a number of projects and key initiatives.  PNC's commitment to leadership in Real Estate Finance means you will always be at the leading edge of technology, while enjoying the benefits of being part of a world-class team.

     

     

    Required Skills / Experience:

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in an IT related field.

    ·         Experience in design, development and testing of .NET web applications on the Windows platform.

    ·         Microsoft .NET framework 2+, ASP.NET, VB.NET

    ·         Microsoft SQL 2005+.

    ·         Ajax UI development.

    ·         Must have a strong background in full life cycle development with VB.NET including database development with stored procedures, views and tables.

    ·         Strong understanding of web services architecture.

    ·         Ability to design, code implement and test web based applications.

    ·         3 years financial services industry experience.

    ·         Possess a strong understanding of IT concepts including database concepts, structures, software/application development techniques and testing techniques.

    Job Description:

    Our Client is looking for a Mid to Senior level .net developer for their Little Rock, Arkansas location. This would mean that the candidate needs to have no less than 2 years of true development experience. This position is a contract position that will last at least 6 months but could go up to a year. They will consider out of the area candidates as long as they can commit to coming here for the duration of the contract. This candidate must have a strong background in either C#.net or VB.net experience. Specifically if they have worked with C# 3.5 using visual studio 2008 that would be perfect but they don't have to have that particular knowledge. The candidate will need to have SQL experience or any other relational database would be considered if they don't have SQL. This is a new position and will be working mostly on new development on an existing platform. They need to have prior middle tier or database development experience. This candidate will be responsible for building databases for storing purposes. While there will be a lot of new development they also will be focused on testing and integrating code for the new or existing software. They are looking to get someone started right away.
